Here is a snapshot of what your PTO plans and pays for in a typical school year. If you have ideas or events you would like to see the PTO sponsor please attend a PTO General Meeting to discuss!

Field Trips

Leeds Farm: A fall event held at Leeds Farm. SCE rents out the whole place for a couple of hours and everyone can participate in all the events located on the farm! We also have food trucks on site.

SCE Sharing Our Stories (formerly known as Multi-Cultural Day): During the school day tables are set up with students sharing information important to them. This can be about sports they are in, family history, where they are from, traditions their families do, and more! In the evening the school is opened up to families to come and set up a table to share their family history/background/foods/traditions. There are other events scheduled through out the evening as well like student art work, Sparks performance, 3rd grade music performance, book fair, and open house showing students work.

Supergames: Held during the school day for the students. There are blow ups and track and field type events.

Read A Thon: Bingo card sent home over winter break, with prizes for those that complete a bingo

Publishing Shop (a mobile unit that teachers can request to turn student's work into spiral bound books)

Teacher Grants/requests (For the 2021/2022 school year, we offered a teacher/staff grant request program. Items purchased include school wide Pebble Go subscription, a class set of interactive clocks, a class set of cushions, purchases of wobble cushions, fidget bands, arm chairs, wobble chairs, and other types of flexible seating for use school wide, a classroom set of ukuleles including tuners and racks, display panels for art, country flags for the library, the green homework folders, various classroom items such as magnet letter tiles, fidget spinners, pop-it boards, magnatiles, brain games and other indoor recess books and games.)

Taxes/Expenses (copy paper, popcorn, office supplies)

Winter Service Projects (done during the school day, by grade level, to help local shelters and nonprofits)

Springtacular: Family event held in the evening. It is very much like a carnival! There are games, blow ups, Scottish Sugar Walk (formally the cake walk), Tootsie Roll Game, International Food tables, Food Trucks, and more!

Occasionally we will have other events like Rock N Jump and Cycle Bar


Meet our PTO members

President Katie Rutledge Saad

Katie has two children at SCE; Molly and Henry.  The Saad family moved to Dublin 5 years ago from Williamsburg, Virginia.  In addition to volunteering at Scottish Corners Katie volunteers with her church, girl scouts, her neighborhood civic association and really anywhere else that asks:)  







Vice President Leigh Anderson

Leigh is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has lived in Dublin with her family since 2017. She and her husband Jim have two children at SCE, Maxwell (2nd grade) and Margot (4th grade). Leigh loves spending time outdoors with her family, cooking, and growing food in their garden. For three years Leigh worked in a clinic caring for many refugees and immigrants, which has made her passionate about welcoming people new to the country and patiently navigating through language barriers. 








Treasurer Adam Drugan

Adam and his wife (Kate) have one daughter at SCE and one that has moved onto KMS.  They have lived in Dublin for 12 years.  They are active in various organizations and activities including: Girl Scouts, Soccer, Basketball, Horse Riding and other extracurricular activities.  As a family they enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends and playing with their dog Daisy. 








Secretary Sarah Dues

Sarah is originally from Dublin.  Her and her husband Adam moved back together in 2016.  They have three sons two that currently attend SCE Parker (3rd grade) and Adler (2nd grade).  Sarah is a Realtor® and loves being active in her community.  The boys are active in several different activities including; Boy Scouts, Soccer, Flag Football, and other events in and around dublin.  As a family they enjoy going to one of our many local parks to walk with their dog Hudson. 









At Large Annie Lichtinger

Annie and her family moved to Dublin in 2018. She and her husband, Ryan, have four sons. Two of them, Crosby and Dean, attend Scottish Corners. Since transitioning from a Regional Director of eleven local preschools to her current role as an Executive Assistant, Annie loves that she can stay involved in early childhood education as a PTO board member. In her spare time, Annie and her family can usually be found at one of the four boys’ sporting events!
