Here is a snapshot of what your PTO plans and pays for in a typical school year. If you have ideas or events you would like to see the PTO sponsor please attend a PTO General Meeting to discuss!

Family Fun Walk/Run: A family walk around the park with games set up through out, tables with different activities, touch a truck, food trucks, and more!

Field Trips

Leeds Farm: A fall event held at Leeds Farm. SCE rents out the whole place for a couple of hours and everyone can participate in all the events located on the farm! We also have food trucks on site.

SCE Sharing Our Stories (formally known as Multi-Cultural Day): During the school day tables are set up with students sharing information important to them. This can be about sports they are in, family history, where they are from, traditions their families do, and more! In the evening the school is opened up to families to come and set up a table to share their family history/background/foods/traditions. There are other events scheduled through out the evening as well.

Spring Flower Sales

Springtacular: Family event held in the evening. It is very much like a carnival! There are games, blow ups, Scottish Sugar Walk (formally the cake walk), Tootsie Roll Game, International Food tables, Food Trucks, and more!

Supergames: Held during the school day for the students. There are blow ups and track and field type events.

Read A Thon: Bingo card sent home over winter break, with prizes for those that complete a bingo

Special Projects for the school (Previous years it has been things like: flexible seating for classrooms, microwave for staff lounge, Chrome Books, printers, etc)

Teacher Grants/requests (For the 2021/2022 school year, we offered a teacher/staff grant request program. Items purchased include school wide Pebble Go subscription, a class set of interactive clocks, a class set of cushions, purchases of wobble cushions, fidget bands, arm chairs, wobble chairs, and other types of flexible seating for use school wide, a classroom set of ukuleles including tuners and racks, display panels for art, country flags for the library, the green homework folders, various classroom items such as magnet letter tiles, fidget spinners, pop-it boards, magnatiles, brain games and other indoor recess books and games.)

Meet our PTO members

President Katie Rutledge Saad

Katie has two children at SCE; Molly in forth grade and Henry in second. The Saad family moved to Dublin 5 years ago from Williamsburg, Virginia. In addition to volunteering at Scottish Corners Katie volunteers with her church, girl scouts, her neighborhood civic association and really anywhere else that asks:)



Vice President Deb Dardinger McGraw

Deb is a lawyer and partner at ZHF, which focuses on state and local taxation. Before that, she worked as a CPA in the tax area. She is married to another (super exciting) tax attorney, Sam, and is the enthusiastic mother of forth grader, Charlie, and an Aussie pup, Rebel. The McGraws love spending time at Indian Lake and camping during Covid.




Treasurer Adam Drugan

Adam works in software development for a financial services company. Adam and his wife (Kate) have two daughters at SCE, Ellie (6th Grade) and Molly (2nd Grade). They have lived in Dublin for 10 years. Both girls are active in the Dad's and Daughters Turtle Cove Group, Girl Scouts, Soccer, Basketball and other extracurricular activities. As a family they enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing with their dog Daisy, game nights and movie nights.




Secretary Casey Fisher

Casey is married to Brad (retired Army), and they have 2 kids; Anna (8th grade) and Emily (3rd grade), and a dog named Bautz. We have lived in Kansas, Virginia, South Carolina, California, and Iowa before permanently moving to Dublin in 2019. Casey has volunteered in the library at SCE. She is currently a stay-at-home mom and in her spare time likes to volunteer at the school, bake, and read.





At Large Bora Bajo

Bora is a professor of research methodology at Franklin University. She is originally from Albania and she and her husband have lived in New York, Florida, and Pennsylvania, before moving to Dublin, OH. They have a daughter (Maia) who is in third grade at Scottish Corners and a four-year-old Labrador who keeps the whole family busy. She loves to paint, garden, and hike whenever possible.
